Wider tread blocks put more rubber on the road, while the dual pitch shoulder elements on the inner and outer sides and the interlocking grooves keep the tyre steady and cut energy losses. Four wide longitudinal grooves clear water from the contact patch, and the silica-rich HSSC compound takes care of grip and mileage. An aramid layer over the steel belts reinforces the casing at higher speeds, and the HRS run-flat system — three separate rubber layers for shock absorption, shape retention and heat resistance — lets you keep driving after a loss of pressure.
